A landscape of micro-geology. In the dunes, like on the shore, the wind creates a sprawling, shifting tapestry of patterns, like the water does. This series isolates those details, turning the vast desert or beach into an intimate study of texture and repetition. But the time goes much slower.
It is "liquid" nature of sand—how it flows like water yet holds its form like stone. By removing the horizon and the sky in these images, the dunes are transformed into abstract monuments of grain and shadow. It is a search for the monumental within the minuscule.
These images capture the fleeting geometry of a world in constant motion. Every ridge and ripple is a mark of the environment’s persistence, a visual haiku written by the wind across the surface of the earth.
